Description
Don't get too worried by this stamp. I'm okay with my friends using my characters without asking first. I'm okay with people I don't know accidentally forgetting to credit or ask me.
What I'm not okay with is this.
When I search the name of my second-favorite OC of mine (he has a unique name) on FurAffinity, I get 115 results.
And none of them are mine.
And pretty much all of them are sick fetish garbage. Draw vore and foot stuff all you want but for the love of all things holy, get off your talentless butt and I dunno, design your own freakin' character?! I know you're envious of my adorable character design skills that you lack but most of you thieves are freaking ADULTS. Don't stoop to stealing a simple little character design from a teenage girl on the internet. And you say you're against art theft? HAHAHAHA I burst out laughing whenever I think of that, I'm serious.
What did they do when I kindly explained to them that I created the character design, so therefore it is mine, and kindly asked them to at least credit me?
They cuss me out and tell me to get buttraped, to cut myself, and to die because I'm a worthless and disgusting piece of trash who doesn't deserve to exist. And they said they'd report me. LOL have fun reporting me for telling you to stop being a CRIMINAL while you send me death and rape threats. C: And months later when I mention using my own bloody character design one of them makes a deviantArt account just to cuss me out AGAIN and sends her watchers to harass me too. I have three words for you:
YOU ARE PATHETIC. What are you doing with your life, devastating a teenage girl you barely know and using her character CONSTANTLY when you KNOW it's hers? Grow up. You don't deserve the 1000+ watchers you have. You don't deserve to have people buy your astronomically-priced commissions. You deserve to have your stupid doggy fursuit burned before your eyes and your tablet pen smashed to bits. XD
Sorry for ranting about this for the millionth time but people STILL use my character constantly and it makes me just want to fill all their shoes with cow poop. I'm not very mature when it comes to threats XD But at least I'm not saying they deserve to be raped to death like they did with me ^_^

Plot twist: 99% of oc theft cases are a myth. Like, I don't know much regarding fantasy stuff or human ocs, but I do know 99% of animal ocs cannot be stolen because their designs can't even be copyrighted due to how simple their designs are and the fact it's based off of a real animal. A brown dog or black armadillo or white Wolverine doesn't belong to you fully as a concept. I have a thousand ocs, uniquely I have tons of squirrel and numbat ocs, if someone was inspired to make ocs based off of those, I wouldn't care. They'd need to literally find an oc of mine who's a unique species (most people don't use unique species, most use dogs and cats) who has unique markings, and also has accessories like armbands with very specific symbolism, necklaces, very specific hats, etc, and only then would I ever pm them, asking them to change it. But you can't "steal" an animal species or colors, that's silly. You can "steal" very specific symbolism and clothing and accessories though.
Just remember though, great minds think a-like especially when there's 7 billion people on earth, we are bound to make ocs similar to each other on accident. Everything has been done before. Everything is inspired by something or someone else. I have tons of ocs yet only 2 of them, if someone copy pasted, would I go out of my way to ask a person to change 10% of the design. Being over attached to your dog or cat oc when there's millions of ocs of the same species, isn't healthy.
Just remember though, great minds think a-like especially when there's 7 billion people on earth, we are bound to make ocs similar to each other on accident. Everything has been done before.
